This tutorial is written for PSP 7.04 but it does work out at other versions :-)
This tutorial is completely my own creation and any similarity to other tutorials, is purely coincidental.
I've got the idea of this tutorial making a snail mail card using a picture like this.
Needs:
Of course Paint Shop Pro. Download 30 days trial HERE.
My Selections. Download zipfile HERE.
Place the files in the PSP Selections folder.
For each piece of fruit open a new transparent canvas size 200x200.
Only for the banana 200x400.
Apple.
Preset tool set to Ellipse.
Foreground color null. Background color #B34B3D. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw an ellipse.
Object Selector.
Bring shape to your apple like this:
Convert to raster. Rename to Apple.
Selection/Select All/Float.
Cutout V/H 5, Opacity 75, Blur 50. Color #800000.
Apply another cutout but change V/H to -5.
New layer called Highlight.
Paintbrush size 3. Add 2 highlights at the apple.
Blur/Gaussian Blur 4.
New layer called stem.
Draw tool. Foreground color color #4D4831. Background color null. Freehand, size 5.
Draw a little stem.
Preset shape ellipse.
Foreground color null. Background color #0A6014. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw a little leaf.
Go back to your apple layer.
Selection/Select All/Float.
New layer called Details.
Airbrush. All settings 25. Color black.
Spray a bit black where the stem touch the apple.
This is your apple:
Pear.
Preset tool set to Ellipse.
Foreground color null. Background color #627541. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw an ellipse.
Object Selector.
Bring shape to your pear like this:
Convert to raster. Rename to Pear.
Selection/Select All/Float.
Cutout V/H 5, Opacity 75, Blur 50. Color #4A4129.
Apply another cutout but change V/H to -5.
Noise/Add Noise 10% Uniform.
New layer called Highlight.
Paintbrush size 3. Add 2 highlights at the pear.
Blur/Gaussian Blur 4.
Draw the stem and leave the way you did at the apple.
This is your pear:
Plum.
Preset tool set to Ellipse.
Foreground color null. Background color #546574. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw an ellipse.
Object Selector.
Bring shape to your plum like this:
Convert to raster. Rename to Plum.
Selection/Select All/Float.
Cutout V/H 5, Opacity 50, Blur 50. Color black.
Apply another cutout but change V/H to -5.
Draw tool. Bezier Curve. Foreground color black. Line size 2. Background color null. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw a curve like this:
Convert to raster. Rename Detail.
Blur/Gaussian Blur 2,5.
Draw a stem as above.
This is your plum:
Banana:
Preset tool set to Ellipse.
Foreground color null. Background color #FFD821. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw an ellipse.
Object Selector.
Bring shape to your banana like this:
Convert to raster. Rename to Banana.
Selection/Select All/Float.
Cutout V/H 3, Opacity 50, Blur 25. Color black.
Apply another cutout but change V/H to -3.
Draw tool. Bezier Curve. Foreground color black. Line size 1. Background color null. Antialias and Vector checked.
Draw a curve like this:
Draw 1 or 2 more curves.
To every curve add Blur/Gaussian Blur 2,5.
New layer called stem.
Draw tool freehand. Size 3. Vector unchecked. Black.
Draw a little stem and a bit black at the bottom of the banana.
This is your banana.
At this point you can add the fruit you just have drawn to your basket.
Shift + D to copy picture.
Merge Visible and export as tube.
Save the original without merging as PSP file.
You're Finished.
